Greenlawns, developed in the early 1980s, was the State’s first co-operative rental scheme and consisted of 17 houses in four blocks. Acting as Civil and Structural Engineers for NABCo (now Co-Operative Housing Ireland) we designed significant extensions and alterations to several of the buildings. The works also included an additional house and a new community room building with a 1st floor apartment.

Key Tasks and Challenges:

  • Innovate, light weight and quick construction
  • Civil and Structural Engineering
  • Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDs)
  • New building and structural alterations
  • Phased work on an occupied housing development.
